<strong>Subject:</strong><br />PMN Legacy question<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Hi all, I'll be a freshman next year and am a double legacy through my mom and sister of a sorority that has a chapter at bama, but we are also from out of state and the greek life at my mom/sister's school seems almost nonexistent compared to this school. I know recruitment is very competitive here that legacies do not really mean much anymore, and also the chapter where I am a legacy is considered "old row" and it seems from reading here it's impossible to get in to those types of houses without connections. My question is, is it possible to only let the house where I am a legacy know of my legacy status, or is legacy something that I need to report when I sign up for recruitment and is then given to every house? I guess I'm convinced that me being a legacy won't matter at all given how competitive process seems to be, and my fear is if all the other house are aware that I'm a legacy of a different house, they will also drop me thinking I'm only interested in the legacy house. I'm just nervous I'll ending up with nothing lol so if it's best I will just not include the legacy part since it seems not to matter anyway given the competitive nature of recruitment here. My sister said she only let her sorority know about my mom's status, but greek life at the school they went to is small and not at all competitive so I'm not sure if all schools do it that way?
