I have worked as a rush advisor and there is absolutely NO WAY this situation happened. And definitely not in 2013 with RFM in place. If you were on the top bid list for your #1, you would have gotten a bid there. Those girls probably just said that to make you feel better - usually the whole chapter does not know exactly who falls where on the bid lists. It’s usually just a small group of advisors + President, Rush chair, maybe rush team members.
