oh i had no idea that's how it worked. when i dropped i was told that i wasn't eligible for alum status since i wasn't in it for the full four years so i didn't think i would be able to get all the benefits of being an alum. however i'm from bham so i'm not really sure how big the alum group here would be since the only aphi chapter in the state is at bama. but i'll definitely look into it. thank you so much! :)
