It’s a messed up law. As long as one person in a convo consents it can be recorded, but that applies to like being in a public place. It’s used to like secret shopping cases catching workers who are like stealing and stuff usually. If you’re in your apartment with a roommate though it gets sketchy because in your place of residence you assume you have privacy. That’s why it doesn’t make sense that anyone individually or as a production company would risk something like this.
