My advice… you have the REST OF YOUR LIFE to be in a committed relationship. You only have one chance to experience college! Now is the time to focus on YOU. Take advantage of it and invest time in your friendships, your classes, activities, and finding yourself. Stay friends with your mate, if it’s meant to be, you’ll reconnect in the future. You’re going to want your freedom, not having to always text back, check in when you get home, explain where you are or what you’re doing, etc… and then waste headspace on worrying about him and what he’s doing.
