I'm a Theta and I ranked them higher than Aopi, DG, Gphi and DZ during the entire recruitment week. I know this is also crazy based on all the stuff on GR about who is top but I liked Theta and DZ more than PM after sisterhood parties. I didn't know anything about Bama rush or rankings so I just went in blind and ranked based on what I experienced at parties. Southern girls in my group told me I was being stupid because Theta was a bottom house. I spent a lot of time on the phone with my Rho Chis because I didn't want to make a mistake. They both encouraged me to follow my heart. I did and I really have no regrets. I guess I'm in a bottom house based on all these ranks but I have made a really great group of friends in my pledge class from all over the country, have had a blast going to a ton of date parties, darties, and formals, and can't wait to move into my house this year. I'm sure a lot of girls in other houses feel the same way. I now know girls in most of the houses and I think I could have been happy in DZ or Gphi too. PM was not me (a great house but just not me). My roommate accepted a bid from a top house based on GR standards and dropped before Initiation because her experience was so bad. I wish that was called out more. Anyway, I get really frustrated with the constant bashing of bottom houses on GR. My friends in my pledge class would not be considered bottom by any standards. Just had to vent.
