I agree. Join a house because you want to make good friends and have some fun. Choose a house based on where you feel most comfortable. It’s not high school anymore, nobody on campus cares about the ranks and if you think you have clout because you wear certain letters, people inside and outside of the Greek system will make fun of you. Once you join a house and make your friends, you will think it’s the best regardless of what anyone else says. Not everyone feels comfortable in the house they receive a bid from for various reasons. 2,500 girls go through recruitment during one week so it’s not always going to end up being a good fit. Some girls don’t give the house a chance because it wasn’t the one they wanted so they have self inflicted misery. We hate those pledges. Other girls realize they are treated as outsiders in their house because they are so different than the majority of their house. They can’t change that and drop before they are initiated.
