Its not so hard to develop non-drinking events to bond over. Always have something you are “going to go do after this”(especially effective after boring meetings) and invite someone you hope to know better to go with you. Ex: I’m going to get food, a walk, the gym, you want to go? Keep asking, keep planning stuff to do after. The more casual stuff you do with people, together, the better chance you have to talk one-to-one and get to know each other.
