Usually because the girl now knows other people in the house and still wants to be a part of Greek life and now has an “easier” way to get into said house. You also have to remember that fall rush is extremely competitive... so just because a PNM is dropped doesn’t mean the house explicitly didn’t like/want her... more than likely, the PNM was a good candidate but there were girls who had something that boosted them (whether it be connections, better grades, better recs, etc).
