Old Row houses are southern majority, meaning the majority of girls are from the south, specifically the deep south. A lot of the southern girls are direct legacies at these houses, meaning their mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothers also went to Bama and pledged XYZ sorority... So this is where the “moms” (alumni) come in. There’s a lot of pressure to appease them as opposed to embracing change. This creates a lot of contention within Old Row houses because there’s a significantly bigger presence of active alumni who have their rigid opinions.
