The short answer is to OP's question is yes fraternities are just as strong or stronger than sororities. You hear a lot about old row sororities, but really there is no old row sororities, there are old row fraternities and certain sororities that get invited to an old row fraternity party. You will also hear things about the Machine, which is controlled by fraternities. Both Fraternities and sororities are strong here.
