UA doesn't bring in Pahellenic groups without verifying there being financial support for eventual expansion. It's a lengthy process once they do get on campus to: 1. Build a large enough chapter to be able to self-perpetuate. 2. Establish a reputation on campus and within the national organization. 3. Determine where physical expansion is possible and what the financial need will be for the chapter. In five years, they might not exist, or they might have a gorgeous new house (or have taken over another chapter's old house). Until they, they need to focus on bringing in quality women dedicated to the chapter and building a good reputation. The swing house is entirely sufficient until then. To say "you need a mansion tomorrow or else u suck!1!" is rhetoric that fails to understand how Greek development works at Alabama and nationally.
