I can't emphasize enough how important your attitude is in all this. You don't need a house to validate that you're an amazing girl. You can be in any house, mix with the other houses, and enjoy life. You could be the catalyst that makes your house the one with the top grades or the one that wins homecoming or something. You can make a difference, but you can't do it sitting back and waiting for someone else to make you happy. Not a sorority, not a guy, not your family. You are in charge of making your own self happy. I encourage you to start with a happy feeling that you got a bid at all. Even if its to Gamma Phi when you wanted Phi Mu. I guarantee you that in four years you will cry when you graduate and leave your sisters. And you'll probably be going for a great job somewhere that another Gamma Phi helped you get.
