So here's my story and sharing it with you to help with your feelings. I was PC16. Far OOS, no connections. I had great grades and accomplishments. Dressed well and had great conversation all week. I went from 16-8-6-3. While I had thee prefs, I was so disappointed that I had lost all my favorite houses. I cried like a baby in my last pref and the Active preffing me thought it was because I loved the house so much but in reality it was because it was my best of theee prefs and I wasn't feeling it. I was mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted. It poured rain ALL week and was so incredibly humid. I never felt especially pretty at the parties due to weather conditions and uncooperative hair and makeup. I left my last pref and on my way to rank called home and told my parents I was dropping. They encouraged me to rally and think about my favorite one of the three I had for pref and go for it. I did get my first choice (although it was my first choice all week) and on Bid Day was truly happy. I LOVE my house and sisters so much and looking back it all happened for a reason. It's hard for you to understand this NOW but please get psyched for pref! Do your best and look around the room at all the other girls who can potentially be your sisters! Embrace your situation!
