I’ll add this. A pnm rank does matters when they have houses that want them. And you will get your top picks if the house picks you. If houses that want you are low on your list, you will not be invited to them if you already got selected by your top picks. However, if you get passed over by your top picks, the attempt is made to fill your card looking for every house that selected you. It sounds tough, but not having a full card means you were passed over by all but the houses you are invited to.
