This will probs get downvoted but it’s somewhat true— I’m in a weaker recruiting house and there is no sense in us keeping a girl we know will never end up in our house. We cut mostly off the bottom obviously but we always make some cuts at the top too, usually a multiple legacy. This probably isn’t the case in OP’s situation but it does happen. However all the reasons listed in the other posts are very valid, especially #1. We cut “top” girls every year for coming in our house and acting like they would rather be in heIl. One of the most sought after PNMs last year did not say a single word the entire time she was in our house.
