You are only as good as your last pledge class, and tri delt got a really strong pledge class last year. I don't think it's changed their rep "so much." They've always had a reputation as a strong chapter. It has helped that tri delt has become more open to OOS. It gives top PNMs another OR option besides AXO and PM, and tri delt is very strong nationally so that may be appealing.
