I really love how my house wasn’t too caught up in being overly competitive. I knew I wanted to rush and be in a sorority, experience sisterhood, and be involved, but all the sorority competitions (homecoming week, Greek week, derby days, etc) seemed a little trivial to me. I liked that my house takes those things with a grain of salt— yes we still compete, but to us it’s more about having fun with your sisters. I’m sure others love their house for the exact opposite reason as me, which is why no house is best for everyone!
