They didn’t tear down tut in 16-17 because there was nothing to replace it, obviously. I thought it was pretty common knowledge across campus or at least in sorority life that tut is coming down in 2020 after they finish building new tut. Why else would it have been a construction zone for the past year? They’re finishing the parking deck, then building new tut in the remaining parking lot, then demolishing tut. If you’re interested there are articles about this that have been out since they made the decision in 2016. Just google it
