looking put together is important, but I worried waaaaaaaaaay too much over summer about what I was going to wear, bought a whole bunch of new stuff and didn't look any different from my roommate who wore dresses she had from graduation and church stuff and only bought a new dress for pref. Also, the actives are just as nervous as you on the first day, especially if they are sophomores, so if you are prepared and the conversation goes easily you'll be more memorable. think of some stories about yourself and your interests/activities/summer break ahead of time, and even just think about things you love talking about- I love Bravo shows and had some great convos about them.
