My house was my favorite going into rush. I love it, but it was kind of eye opening to see that just because a house advertises itself a certain way doesn’t mean that it’s actually like that. I came into rush with a really high GPA and a lot of involvement. All the girls who rushed me were also smart and involved, making me think the whole house was. When I pledged I realized that this was not a thing that my house really valued. There are still smart and involved girls, but it was disappointing to figure out that I was among the minority.
