a secret society that allegedly influences school and state politics. the machine was much more prevalent half a century ago. now a days, all it truly controls is SGA president... but even saying that is iffy since a SGA candidate who wasn't affiliated with the machine won a few years ago. old row girls like to claim that it still holds power but it really doesnt. and thats the truth.
