I got dropped by every house then got picked up in COB. I believe the numbers say approx 5 % do not get bids and I think most are grade cuts these days. I did not know a sole at Bama and was not a comfortable conversationalist or small talker, so during the fall recruitment process I was a deer in headlights. After recruitment, I got involved and was selected to a notable freshman group. I was invited to one or two informal COB events with freshmen friends who had pledged, making me more relaxed. Happily, I was picked up fairly quickly. TBH, the process can be hard for quiet or shy people. If this is you and you are dropped, I encourage you to get involved with groups you are comfortable joining and try again once you know a few Greek people who appreciate your other qualities.
