Like the persona above said, Zeta is not a top house... And I don't mean that in a rude way, they're just simply not a top house. They're upper mid at best. Zeta and Alpha Phi are both very similar in the sense that they rush mainly on appearances. This obviously creates a lot of issues down the line, because if a house is curating a pledge class based on looks and not character then it builds a weak foundation and harbors a lot of potential for there to be petty drama... And time after time, petty drama arrises and creates a pledge class that looks good on the outside to break apart from the inside out. There's a reason why Zeta sees a lot of girls drop. And there's a reason why Zeta HAS to take so many spring COBs. These two instances are directly correlated to each other. Zeta's idea of a "good" pledge class is different from most other houses. Other houses define a good pledge class as having a lot of well rounded girls who are going to represent their letters well. Zeta defines a good pledge class as having a lot of attractive girls.
