I don’t think the issue is that sorority girls will be exclusive and rude to GDIs (unless they’re rude people, and why would you want to be friends with mean girls anyway), it’s that especially during freshman year girls will be so busy and involved with things going on in their house and making new friends. If you’re a gdi you can’t go to most of the things they’ll be doing and your experience will be totally different than theirs. I’ve had a good number of non-Greek friends the whole time I’ve been in a sorority, but freshman year I mostly was close with girls in my house because we all spent so much time together and bonded over sorority experiences
