From personal experience in my new row house we have a much more diverse group rushing because a lot of our more attractive or “cool” girls either deliberately get their internships to go through rush week or they want to be rho chis. If we had more girls show up some rushers would absolutely be given back office jobs. I think on average old row houses have more actives come to rush because they are more invested in getting specific girls or continuing their HS/city stronghold. Back office is an extremely important job anyway— it’s not like those girls are sitting around doing nothing. Rush would be a disaster without matching, drinks, etc.
