My house helped me a ton as a nursing major. I was able to get tutors and everything for chem and micro about 2-3 times every week for free ( technically in sorority fees). if i didnt have tutors through my house i would have had to pay way more for outside tutors. Most GOOD tutors charge 50-100 per 2 hour session.The grad student tutors are cheap but are terrible compared to the tutors through my sorority. I went from having a 2.1 in recruitment ( and being put in a low GPA house) to now having a 4.0. SO it technically does help grades depending on the person.
