LOL the tide ten IS NOT a thing. There's no X amount of houses here that are seen like this. If anything we have Old Row but even that's a stretch because OR isn't what it used to be. 1. Rush is VERY different between instate girls and OOS girls. In state girls are the ones who still perpetuate the idea that OR is prestigious and thus feel like the have to go OR. Most of the OOS girls who rush honestly don't even know what OR is until after rush. OOS girls are a lot more optimistic about houses here and are generally more accepting of where they end up. 2. That being said, not every single girls fawns over OR. And frankly, there are a few OR houses that are STRUGGLING and have been for years. I'm not going to name any names but we all know it. To say a house is "always wanted by PNMs" just because of a label created half a century ago isn't true. 3. I'll admit that there are a few houses here that do struggle with PNM interest and obviously some of those houses aren't on this list. However, not everyone wants to be in a "top" house. Period. Not every single PNM that comes through rush cares about status... How hard is that to understand. I mean, the majority of girls who do rush are coming from OOS and literally just want a place to call home. 4. This list perpetuates the idea that "lower ranked" houses are unwanted by PNMs. If you're going to make a list like this, next time don't include OVER HALF of all the houses on campus. If lower ranked houses weren't "good" then they would struggle with filling pledge classes which they obviously don't and they would have lost their charter years ago. 5. All houses here are good in their own way. And ranks change from person to person because it's all based on OPINION. 6 of the houses you listed are houses that I didn't like during rush and that's my opinion. Stop trying to make rush a popularity contest.
