Honestly there are so many hypocritical aspects of sororities here... They should be smart but not too smart or else they're nerds, involved but not too involved that it takes away time you would spend at the house, skinny and pretty but also confident in who they are, progressive but not too much or else frats won't want to swap with them, etc etc etc. The (few) houses at UA that are more diverse than others because they genuinely see diversity as a good thing and not as a PR thing are the houses that are thriving. Rush can bring out the bad side of Greek life, seeing that to have a "good" pledge class you have a certain "type" of girl from a specific area code or background and it honestly is stupid.
