<strong>Subject:</strong><br />let's talk about grades<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Panhellenic states that a GPA of 3.2 and above is in the "green zone." A GPA between 3.00 - 3.19 is in the "yellow zone." And a GPA of 2.99 and below is in the "red zone." But let me be completely honest... This is a lie. Rush is competitive. You know that girl in high school who maintained a 4.0+ GPA, was the captain of the lacrosse team, and was the prom queen? Yeah there are hundreds of girls just like that that go through rush every year. Panhellenic saying a "3.2 probably won't limit your options" is a joke. Girls with even a 3.5 and decent extra curriculars find themselves getting cut from houses for really no other reason but their grades. And in MY honest opinion, anything below a 3.4 is going to limit your options unless you have something special. I'm just trying to give you PNMs an honest look at how rush really is. Grades are important, first round cuts are based entirely off them. However, there's always exceptions, and lots of them at that... There are some girls who didn't have the best grades and eventually found themselves in very competitive houses because a lot of houses do look at you as a whole, they want to see what else you bring to the table and if there's something special then there you go.
