Even your "nickname" sounds like a bitter woman. I think you are oversimplifying the OP. She said she made good grades and enjoys their philanthropy. She didn't say she didn't participate or was a "taker". . Not everyone is a type A personality. Every organization needs those people in certain key leadership positions. But every organization also needs some relaxed, friendly, and outgoing people for other key leadership positions. If you polled most pnms (and they were honest), I bet about 85% are also hoping for "fun and memories". I hold a leadership position in my particular sorority, but I mainly joined for the social aspects. So are we lying when we say "you will make life-long friends" and "you will meet your future bridesmaids". Do we stand up at recruitment and tell them "we are here to change the world and if you are joining for fun, social life, and friends(aka sisterhood), then you are "doing it all wrong". You are literally saying not to join for those reasons. YOU are who the OP is referring to, I am sure.
