Fraternities as we know them are on the way out partly because of the risk of people literally dying so I wouldn’t be so quick to say we should be like them. More and more national fraternities are becoming dry/banning open parties/making strict new member programs. And that doesn’t even include the restrictions universities are creating so enjoy it while it lasts. And for the record, @the right stuff is right. If the top 75% of members didn’t show up and do what they had to do, we wouldn’t be able to have any fun at all. There’s a reason why most organizations require you to go to chapter, get greek points, etc to attend swaps and date parties.
