There's s heavy emphasis on grades and GPA because 1. There are so many girls rushing and so few sororities that the bar had to be raised to filter out some PNMs 2. The image of Greek life has been in the toilet lately so stronger overall academics only helps in terms or reputation and lowered risk or girls doing really dumb things (e.g., HB videos)
