Agree with #9. Worse case your dropped or you decide to drop, but then you are in same place you would be in if you decided not to go through recruitment. Also, sororities are most helpful freshman year when you do not have as many social connections, so their events get you socially going. That value goes down more each year as you make more friends and develop more of your own social plans.
