I can only speak for my sorority, but we absolutely cut anyone with more than seven letters in their last name. It's just an aesthetic choice that we make. When you list the pledge class, a long name sticks out like a sore thumb. That goes for first names as well. Also, we hate being anywhere on the top of the GPA chart, so we cut anyone with over a 3.3. Who wants a show off in your sisterhood? Since you didn't ask, I won't even mention the height requirement. Seriously, you need to chill.
