I know friends who are much more academic schools with no big sports or Greek life, and I’ve never envied them for a second. I think being at a big school like this does not mean we don’t have strong academics or opportunities to make a difference. Football gives us something fun that builds pride in the school and it pays for so much of what makes this school great. Greek life isn’t perfect, but it has connected me with with amazing organizations and opportunities and has inspired me to work to make an impact. If you choose not to take advantage of what we have here or don’t have the self-discipline to focus on things besides football and Greek parties then sure, maybe this isn’t the right fit for you. But it also sounds like a personal issue rather than a problem with the school as a whole
