a borderline risky gpa can be counterbalanced. if you're really really strong in all the other criteria (appearance, recs, personality, connection, leadership, extracurriculars) then i say go for it and rush. otherwise, focus on your schoolwork, get good grades and rush as an upperclassman. another thing you can do is take classes at your local community college between now and fall semester. it might be a long shot, but if you ace those classes it could help your chances. btw take real college level classes, not like tennis or typing.
