Experience is that positions are still connections driven even after freshman year. The connected pnms get connected bid day sisters and then connected bigs. Then those girls have upperclassmen pulling for them, guiding them, and getting them in. The filler girls continue to be marginalized and are pushed into grunt work positions. Because of the pull of Greeks all over campus organizations this repeats itself in positions outside of the house as well. Biggest reason my big's roommate left UA and transferred. I honestly can see why so many OOS girls drop out or transfer. They feel they are too smart to be put in a corner and dismissed.
