here’s a list of categories different houses fall into! this is a lot more accurate than ranks because ranks are subjective to what a person thinks is desirable in a sorority (looks vs. grades vs. being social) copied from another poster but this gives PNMs a great look into the “personalities” of the houses! it’s tough to make generalizations about 400+ girls but i think these descriptions give an accurate look into how houses try to present themselves and how others perceive them. feel free to add on to this with other categories but i think this list is solid! It’s important to note that there are smart, involved, pretty, and social girls in EVERY house. These are more of “trends” than sweeping generalizations. And people don’t necessarily pledge a house just because they fit the stereotype of the house— some girls who are really smart and involved in high school choose a more laid back sorority than an academic one because they don’t want to be in a house where they can stand out. There are wild girls in alpha chi and alpha gam, and involved girls in kd and kappa. It’s more about where you think you’ll be happiest.
