Poster Name:oos vs. in state
Poster Message:
OOS - usually better grades, more diverse In state - as above posters said, better retention and better connections. Connections are also important because that means actives know what kind of person you truly are before recruitment. It's easy to put on a facade of being a good person before recruitment (cough cough...) but if you're going to college where 50% of girls from your high school go, they will know if you can hold your own at a party or if you'll cause a lot of drama. But that doesn't necessarily mean you need to be in-state to have those connections. Girls from Georgia or Texas still have those in-house connections, just not to the point of certain towns in Alabama that are essentially feeders to certain chapters.
