Super high rush return rates don’t hurt either.... A lot of being “top” is being able to be super selective because lots of PNMs want you. KD is super popular w AL girls, Bama Phi Mu is famous, and Kappa is known for putting on a really good rush. They can afford to be selective and still get the PNMS they want (not saying there are never random legacies because w PCs this big EVERY house has some), but they do very well in recruitment. So while some other houses may have say, better sisterhoods, they don’t do as well in recruitment. I’d like to think my house has a better sisterhood (though it’s hard to judge chapters this big), and we also have better grades, but being completely honest our return rates, though not bad by any means, aren’t as impressive as those houses’. I’m in a NR house, but a ton of my friends are in two of the mentioned houses.
