You're going to be fine. I was a GDI my first year and had the time of my life. You can still go to parties and have a diverse friend group. Plenty of my friends from freshmen year are GDI and have an activie social life and are very involved in campus. That being said I did rush my sophomore year. I did this because Greek life looked like a great time and it is. If you can't rush because of finically reason I totally get that it was the same for me. But if you just think you're not the sorority girl type for for it. At the end of the day GDIs are like Greek. There's is every type of person and. I'd like to think that just beacuse they're GDI doesn't mean anything about them. However I would recommend if you can't rush to try to do a GDI equivalent, like if you're in the honors college Alabama action.
