Yikes okay this isn't what I was trying to antagonize with my post. I don't think that I'm some elite, prestigious b-tch that's better than "country bumpkins" because I'm from the north. I guess I should have stated the question more like "would someone with x income be financially average/stable compared to the rest of people at Bama." Most of what I know about AL's economy is what I've read in Econ class, which just gives me stats about GDP and what else, but clearly since UA has thousands of students from different areas, it acts as a type of outlier. I also picked the number $100,000 for my post because that's about the median income for my area, and just wanted to know how that compares. Didn't mean to cause such debate.
