This is the University of Alabama. Old row gets top billing because it's where the kids from Alabama go. So there is an effective ranking of who get more "points" when considering top houses - something g like this 1. Rich connected Alabama kids 2. Alabama kids with good grades and reputations 3. Other Deep South kids that are wealthy, good grades, put together, etc 4. All others from Alabama - bad reps, bad grades, etc. 5. Rich, smart and/or social non southern kids 6. Other decent southern non Alabama kids 7. All others who are decent kids non southern 8. Grade risks and social media stars. Old row is considered best because it gets the most kids from the top "point getters", items 1,2, 3 and 4. Point is there are plenty of great people in other houses - new row, low ranked etc. but this is how rankings are made.
