Two things. 1) If going Greek is really something that matters to you then being a sophomore in a freshman PC is not going to be an issue. If this is really a priority for you then the potential awkwardness will be worth it in the long run. If you aren't mature enough to handle that then yeah, don't do it. 2) Any house that would take you via COB would not drop you after IWTs so do not think that COB gives you more options.... It doesn't. You have a much higher chance of having more options and getting a second look at by chapters if you do formal recruitment. Why rely on COB when you could do formal? I don't get it. Your chances are the highest when you do formal, even as a sophomore.
