Don't believe that crap. If a house likes a girl they would not cut her because the "think" she will go somewhere else. She would be on our list where she falls, and if she drops us, the next person moves up on the list...we have lost nothing by keeping her on the list. If we cut her, the next person would move up anyway. PNMs remember...every house, every single house at at Bama offers a similar sorority experience. All have 400+/- members, so a wide diversity in each will give you a group to click with. All have the same social events: swaps, formals, in-house sisterhood stuff, etc. Most of these houses have been here for years and have a strong social system well in place. Don't tell yourself you are too good for any group of 400 college women at Bama, or your big head will not get through any sorority door. DZ/Theta/AOP/GPB have women that WANT to join that house...be it a legacy that was "raised" to be in that sorority (almost all nationals are over a hundred years old, they all have generations of legacies), or because their best friends are already members, or because it was where they were most comfortable. If you want the sorority experience, you will have a great one no matter what house you get at Bama If you don't...it is you, not the house...cause they are all pretty much the same. Also, don't take each house keeping or dropping personally. I said "list" earlier. Yea, we rank you on a list. The members who meet you give you a rank based on how they felt about you, that is added to your grade rank, and your rec activity info rank, etc. which lands you somewhere on the list of over 2000...and then we move on to the next PNM at the next party. The list has a cut-off place each day, so the women under the cut-off point are dropped. The house could love you, but something else, especially grades, could have put you lower on the list than another PNM the house also loved. You could have been next on the list and if one more PNM had dropped the house during their choices, orif that house had one less legacy, or if your GPA was one point higher, you could have been in a different spot on a house list and landed in a different house. Don't beat yourself up if you get dropped by any house...they probably did like you...other factors got into the mix.
