You're a fool for not accepting the bid given to you. I know you probably think you're being humble by trying to reach out to SK but in all honesty you were given a bid to where you should be. Does it hurt to be dropped from houses you really loved? Yes. Does it hurt to know you "fall through the cracks?" Yes. But does that mean you shouldn't give that house a chance? No. Everything happens for a reason. The house you got a bid from held so much opportunity and the fact that you just turned it away without even trying it is disappointing. And in terms of SK, do you really think it'll be the "fun and cool" girls colonizing? If I'm being honest, SK will struggle immensely especially considering there's a big push back from a lot of current Greeks. They'll struggle to make a name for themselves for at least the first few years, they'll struggle to fill a pledge class and actually keep the girls around, and they'll struggle being introduced into a very established Greek system. And it's really a 50/50 chance of them succeeding or failing. I'm not saying this to be mean or anything either, it's just the truth. Yes, it would be amazing to see a new sorority succeed here, but it's going to be extremely hard... Alum know that, Panhellenic knows that, us actives know that, and you should know that too.
