Mine came with flowers and just to say congrats. Also to see what they're paying out the nose for lol. They didn't stay long, just for a quick hug (and dinner the night before, after pref). It's easy because I'm from GA but I wouldn't expect them to come if I were from further away. Also, I know my parents came just because they wanted to see me and I really wanted to see them. Moving away for college can be hard and it was nice to have them come after a week of being by myself. Helped with the adjustment.
