Pref is THE game changer for many PNM's. You'll likely be paired with an active with whom you've connected earlier in the week. You'll get a glimpse of the sorority's rituals (secret traditions) and actives will share what being a part of the chapter has meant to them. Songs will be more serious and less "cheerleader-y." It can be an emotional party for both actives and PNM's. Some things you can talk about: -if you're torn between houses, ask how the active made her decision and knew that this house was for her. -if there's anything on your mind still, ask! I preffed a twin once whose sister was not at our pref. They were preffing 1 house together and the other 1-2 were different. She was visibly torn between choosing her blood sister and choosing the house she really loved and we talked a lot about how to keep up with friendships in other houses. -if you're 110% sure you'll rank this house #1, it's ok to tell the active that! Also important: Look around when you're lined up at your pref houses. The other pnms in line could become your pledge sisters and future bff's.
