Honestly some girls just got lost in the shuffle. Every house makes decisions a different way and while most girls get lucky for some houses and unlucky for others, there are always some who get hurt by the numbers. There are so many PNMs coming through and it is so hard to decide who gets an invite and who doesn't. My situation was VERY similar to yours, 4.4 GPA with a full year of college credit from my AP classes. but I only had 6 invites for philanthropy. It happens. Do NOT worry about your sorority bringing your grades down!! There are girls with high GPAs in every house. Most if not all houses have some kind of mandatory study hall (you could even ask about this during pref if you want specifics!). Stereotypes are stereotypes. If you prioritize grades over everything else then you will continue to get good grades, regardless of what the stereotype says. Also... remember every house wants higher grades. Constantly. Every house knows it looks bad to be below the undergrad or all-women's average. Seems like every house is making small pushes to become more academic right now, regardless of what you hear on GreekRank. You could be part of that push for your house. Good luck!!!
